Delicious and refreshing summer drink with a delicate floral scent? That’s all about this luscious Lilac Lemonade! If you like drinks with subtle botanical flavours, this recipe is for you.
Jump to RecipeHello nice people! I hope you are doing well (Despite Monday.) Did anyone enjoy the weekend? And more importantly, is anyone ready for another one? I am totally ready, if you ask me :)
Anyway, I am wrapping up my season of lilac recipes today on the blog! I know you can’t get your hands on lilac this summer as they’re gone long time by now. But you can always save this recipe – well more like the idea – for the next season. Oh – who knows – maybe you will find store-bought lilac syrup one day.
Lilac Lemonade
As I said, I would hardly refer to this as a recipe. It is more like a super easy and fun idea. To make this lemonade, you will only need a few ingredients:
– Obviously, you will need to make Lilac Syrup – the amount as per your preferences.
– Then, a little of fresh mint. Don’t use too much because it could overpower the ultra subtle lilac notes. 1-2 small brunches (About 10 medium leaves) should be enough for 4 cups of water.
– You will also need citrus juice – lemon or lime. In my opinion, lemon works better with lilacs.
Also, water and ice, but we won’t count this :) As you see, ridiculously easy but so tasty! You will like it, I promise.

I hope you like this Lilac Lemonade, so you will try it next season! If you make it, let me know in this post or send me an Instagram message or share you photos adding the hashtag #havocinthekitchen.

What a cool summer drink idea, Ben! First of all, that crooked glass is pretty darn awesome for photos, and then all of the fresh lilac in there really makes this one pop. Great pics! I’m thinking after a long day of moving this weekend, I could go for a cold glass of this lemonade. Want to bring it to me? :-)
