Hello everyone – I hope you’ve had a restful weekend, and you’re ready for new week. Since my last post, something significant has happened. July, to be specific lol. And what does July normally mean? Hot and humid weather situation. And I’m not looking into that because heat could trigger my headaches and even migraines. While it’s hard to avoid migraines, we can at least stay hydrated.
Now, simple water, or even better a page from your custom recipe book for water infused with fruit and herbs, is the best option for sweltering days.
Indeed, sweetened drinks might not quench your thirst at all. But it does not mean we cannot enjoy lemonade or iced tea every now and then, too. Besides, your drink does not need to be too sweet or sweet at all! Yup, unsweetened cold green tea with ice is a great refreshing alternative. Or you can naturally sweeten it with fresh fruit or a little of honey or maple syrup.

Passion Fruit Green Iced Tea
This Passion Fruit Green Iced Tea is ultra fresh and flavourful, and it’s not overly sweet at all! You can use either fresh passion fruits or frozen /canned pulp. Depending on the package, it can be already sweetened. If not, you can add a little of honey to balance out the earthy taste of green tea. Matcha is a great alternative too, but if using, you need to take less as it is more concentrated. Certainly, you can use tea bags, but I would recommend loose tea for best flavour and health benefits. Both lemons and limes would work well in this recipe. As for thyme, it’s optional, but it adds something extra special.
Rather than that, this iced tea is so easy to make and enjoy!
I hope you like this idea, and you will it a try soon. If you try it, let me know in this post or send me an Instagram message or share you photos adding the hashtag #havocinthekitchen.
Cheers!

I am afraid this is one I cannot bring myself to try. The smell of tea makes me… well, icky is the best word I can come up with. :( But I love everything else about it!!

You could turn this idea into a…mojito then. No tea is required :)
It’s been unusually hot here for the past several weeks, so I shudder to think what July (and August) will bring. So time to make iced tea! This look terrific — very flavorful. Thanks!

As I don’t like sweet tea I would forego the honey. Have you tried acupuncture for your migraines?
