Jump to RecipeHello everyone! I hope you are doing well. Hopefully you are enjoying nice summer weather with the moderate temperatures. Our current heatwave is almost over, but it still remains quite hot and humid. Thus, that’s a perfect time for a delicious summer salad! (Indeed any day of summer is perfect for a tasty salad dish.)
For Andrew and I, salads normally are a main dish. So they must be satisfying and nutritious but not overly heavy. And of course, we love our summer salads loaded with seasonal fruit and berries.

Blueberry Almond Feta Salad
This Blueberry Almond Feta Salad is another beautiful salad. It’s luscious, fresh, and so easy to make. Basically, you will need only few ingredients such as fresh blueberries, cucumbers, salad greens, feta, and toasted almonds. The dressing is super easy, too. You will need to simply combine balsamic vinegar (or balsamic glaze for added sweetness and thickness), olive oil, and lemon juice. Easy like that!
And the best part is that you will only need about 10 minutes to make it. And honestly most of the time would be waiting for the almonds to toast :)
I hope you like this Blueberry Almond Feta Salad, and you will give it a try soon. If you make it, let me know in this post or send me an Instagram message or share you photos adding the hashtag #havocinthekitchen.
Cheers and until the next post!
Blueberry Almond Feta Salad
Course: Salads, Appetizers2
servings10
minutesThis Blueberry Almond Feta Salad is super delicious dish that will be ready just in 10 minutes. That’s a perfect summer salad when you don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen.
Two servings as the main course or four-six as the side dish.
Ingredients
- Blueberry Almond Feta Salad:
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 small cucumber, sliced (about 1 cup sliced)
a handful of greens of your choice
1/4 cup feta, crumbled
2-3 tbsp. slivered almonds, toasted
- Dressing:
1-2 tsp. balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze (recommended)
1/2 tsp. olive oil
a good drizzle of lemon or lime juice
Directions
- In a small bowl, simply combine all the ingredients for the dressing, until well-incorporated. I didn’t use any seasonings because the saltiness of feta was enough for me, but you can also add a tiny pinch of salt or pepper.
- Combine the blueberries, cucumbers, greens, feta, and almonds. Drizzle with the dressing and toss to combine. Serve right away or refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!

The blue is stunning! What a fabulous combination: sweet, salty, crunchy and so fresh! I recommend trying a Greek sheep’s milk feta (usually a lot more than Canadian feta) but it’s significantly better. I was sooo relieved when the humidity broke, Toronto can be horrible in the summer.
Thanks so much Eva!
What a gorgeous summer salad! I love the combination of textures and sweet and savoury flavours.
Thanks so much Marie!
Stoopppppp!!!! So many beautiful purples and lavenders… I just adore these photos. And, I love the salad. Blueberries are so pretty. And they are so good in a salad with feta. Fabulous.
Thanks so much Mimi!
This sounds like a wonderful summer salad. While I don’t have any feta but I do have some mild Gorgonzola that I think would work.

The heat and humidity is brutal this year, and I live in Florida. During the hot summer months, seasonal salads are the best. Summer fruits are abundant.
Ben, this is a beautiful salad. Delicious. Fresh and healthy.

I never considered putting blueberries and almonds together in a salad but I do love feta cheese so I can see how this could work. Lovely salad Ben. We’re in a heatwave over here at the moment so I hope you guys are doing well over there. Take care!

We love salads for a main course too, Ben. Especially when they’re hearty and have all of the flavors and textures of this one. Love the boost of protein from fetas and almonds and I will never, ever say no to blueberries. One of the things I look forward to most in summertime.
Thanks so much Marissa!
