This Lavender Pear Cider Cocktail blends succulent pears, fragrant lavender, and crisp apple cider—a refreshing way to bid farewell to summer and greet the fall!

Hey, folks! Hope you’re enjoying autumn! Let’s celebrate the season with a new cocktail recipe.
I’m excited to share a spontaneous new recipe inspired by seasonal flavours. Here are two quick, fun facts about its creation.
First, I normally post recipes that I developed and photographed a while ago, such as a year or even two years ago. I made this cocktail this weekend, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you.
Second, I did not plan this recipe at all. In fact, I’ve been all about ingredients that signal the transition between late summer and early fall—apples, pears, rosehips, and figs—over the last few weeks. However, our garden lavender unexpectedly started to bloom again in mid-September. So, I couldn’t miss this opportunity and decided to come up with something that captures both seasons.
So, let’s dive into this Apple Cider Cocktail with Lavender and Pears!
Do Pears and Lavender Go Together?
Yes, they pair well. The floral, subtly sweet lavender complements the pear’s fruitiness and tartness. In fact, lavender pairs well with many fruits, including:
- Apples:
- Lemons:
- Apricots:
- Peaches:
- Raspberries:
- Figs:
- Lychees:
Why You’ll Love This Lavender Pear Cider Cocktail
- This recipe is a perfect bridge between summer’s close and autumn’s arrival, featuring flavors that celebrate both seasons—lavender pairs with pears and honey beautifully.
- The honey-sautéed pears with a hint of lavender will elevate any apple cider to a level of elegance and sophistication.
- The caramelized pears are delicious on their own. If you have any leftovers, you can serve them over your yogurt, ice cream, or oatmeal.
- You will need only a few ingredients, most of which you probably already have.
Ingredients You’ll Need for Lavender Pear Cider Cocktail
This Lavender Pear Cider Cocktail requires only several ingredients:
- Apple Cider – Choose the tart, crisp variety that is not overly sweet.
- Pears – Choose the sweet and juicy variety, such as Bartlett.
- Honey – Adds sweetness and flavour, while also helping to create a caramel-like sauce.
- Dried lavender buds – Adds a pleasant floral hint. Use lavender sparingly. Adding too much can give a perfumy, soapy aroma. And remember, always use culinary-grade lavender for the best results.
- Lemon Juice – Adds freshness and balances out the sweetness.
- Cinnamon and Cardamom – Adds more warm, fall flavour.

How to Make This Lavender Pear Cider Cocktail?
Combine honey, spices, and lavender in a pan; simmer to thicken. Add pears and lemon juice, sauté until pears are soft and the sauce forms. Let cool, then mix with cider and enjoy.
