This Raspberry Rosé Sangria recipe combines chilled rosé, raspberry liquor, raspberries, and fresh mint. Refreshing, luscious, and fruity, this makes a perfect cocktail for hot summer days and summer celebrations, including Canada Day and the Fourth of July.

Hello, folks! How are you doing? I hope you have had a great week and are now ready for the weekend. Well, that’s silly of me to say this. Of course, you are ready!
And I am ready, too. What kind of weekend should you go without a cocktail or two? (to be clear, we don’t drink every week. It’s just when I am in a cocktail-production mood, I buy a few different spirits and make several cocktail variations over a weekend.)
And since two big days in North America (Canada Day, which occurs on July 1, and Independence Day, also known as the Fourth of July), are around the corner, I think my new recipe is perfect. Who doesn’t like sangria on a hot summer day? Besides, it’s perfect for summer gatherings and celebrations as it’s a crowd-pleasing cocktail. So, a glass of Raspberry Rosé Sangria anyone?
What is Sangria?
What is a Sangria anyway?
Sangria is a mixed alcoholic beverage originating from Spain and Portugal. It traditionally consists of red wine, chopped fruit, and often other spirits. Oranges, lemons, and apples are common ingredients, but fruit and berry options are endless. A traditional sangria often includes spirits like brandy or orange liqueur (e.g., Triple Sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier). But just like with the fruit part, you can use so many other spirits, especially flavoured liqueurs, to create many fun versions.
A Sangria is a light (yet with a boozy kick thanks to mixing different alcohol) and refreshing drink. It is known for its complexity and the combination of sweet and tart notes. That’s why it is a perfect summer cocktail!
Raspberry Rosé Sangria
This Raspberry Rosé Sangria recipe is a twist on a classic version. To make it, you will need the following ingredinets:
- Rosé wine – you can use a dry rosé or a rosé with fruity. If you prefer a less sweet sangria, then you may lean toward a drier rosé. If you only have a dry rosé and miss some extra sweetness, you can add a little sweetener of your choice like honey or simple syrup. Or, maybe even Lavender Syrup or Rose Syrup for a subtle floral hint. Grenadine syrup will work, too.
- Raspberry liqueur – adds the sweetness and a wonderful raspberry aroma. If this type is not available, you can use other flavours instead. Think of peach, strawberry, apricot, etc. The overall flavour, of course, will be different, yet still delicious.
- Fresh raspberries – don’t use frozen for this recipe as they will look too mushy. You can also add other fruit, e.g., strawberries or peaches will be a wonderful addition.
- Fresh mint – a handful, for freshness.
- Ice cubes
- Club soda – an optional ingredient if you prefer a lighter sangria.
- Optional ingredients also include some lemon wedges or sweetener. You can play with the flavour profile of your sangria to add more sweetness or tartness as desired.
How to Make Raspberry Rosé Sangria
That’s so easy. Simply combine in a pitcher the wine, raspberry liqueur, raspberries, and fresh mint. Try and adjust the flavour by adding a little lemon or sweetener. Refrigerate for 30-60 minutes and enjoy!
I will not recommend making this version way too in advance, as the fruit will start getting mushy after two hours or even earlier.
And don’t forget to fill your glass with some ice cubes to make this experience even more enjoyable!

Such a beautiful combination of flavors with the rose and raspberry! Great tip on not letting the fruit get too mushy in the wine!
Bring on summer! It’s still far too cold for this right now, but I will bookmark the recipe.

That looks really nice for hot summer days. Had my first sangria about 30 years ago made by my sommelier boss..it was really good.
