This Passion Fruit Mojito is a luscious and refreshing cocktail with a pleasant tropical aroma. Perfect for summer time!

Hello everyone. I hope you are doing well.
How are you dealing with heat waves that seem to keep hitting Europe and North America (and maybe somewhere else) lately. Technically, it has not been as bad as previous years here in Nova Scotia yet. But that’s all relevant. For me, everything is higher than 25 degrees C is a bad heatwave. And if there’s also humidity involved – no, thank you so much!
After a brief break we’re getting hit by another heat wave, and this time it appears to be rather brutal (Over 30 degrees C with the humidex reaching 38s or so.) I refuse this!
Thus, this was a good time to share this Passion Fruit Mojito, I thought. Normally, alcohol and heat are not good friends at all. But since a mojito is a relatively light cocktail, we can enjoy it. But please be mindful that if you don’t deal with heat well or have any health concerns (including but not limited to heart and blood pressure conditions), you should probably avoid an alcoholic beverage. You can make a virgin mojito (Just skip the rum and use more soda) or this Passion Fruit Green Iced Tea instead.
Passion Fruit Mojito
This Passion Fruit Mojito is super easy to make with just a few simple ingredients.
- White rum – the base spirit of a mojito. Any good quality and not too expensive rum will do.
- Lime juice – freshly squeezed lime juice provides the tartness and citrusy notes that perfectly complement the other flavors.
- Fresh mint – muddled fresh mint adds a cool, refreshing herbal element.Â
- Sugar or simple syrup. You can use honey as a sweetener, too. You may need to adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of your passion fruit.
- Passion fruit – pulp with seeds. You can use 2-3 large fruits or frozen or canned pulp.
- Club soda or sparkling water – optional, for topping.
- Ice cubes – for chilling and serving.
- extra lime wedges, passion fruit, and mint sprigs – for garnish.

Hi – I’m Ben, a blogger, recipe developer, and food photographer. I’m glad you’re here! I hope you will enjoy hundreds of delicious recipes and a pinch of havoc in the kitchen.
Interesting glass! The mojito sounds refreshing and looks lovely. Probably go without alcohol on a really hot day. We have had some cooler weather but are expecting a heat wave at the end of the week with temps reaching 100 degrees F

The Passion Fruit Mojito sounds like the perfect refreshing drink for these hot summer days! The combination of passion fruit, mint, and lime must create a wonderfully tropical and invigorating flavor. It’s great that there’s also a non-alcoholic option for those who prefer it. This recipe is definitely on my list to try—ideal for cooling down during a heatwave!

This is defitneily my type of mojito, always love passionfruit everything
Sounds so refreshing, Ben. We’re big fans of passion fruit in the house—and rum, too—so I’m sure this would be a big hit.
Oh this sounds fantastic, Ben! It’s definitely been hot and humid down here in the South – this coming weekend looks to be brutal. I think we’ll be hunkering down (i.e. unpacking) inside a lot. I could see going for a drink on the deck in the evening, though. This mojito not only sounds delicious, but it looks awesome, too – that glass is perfect!! Stay cool, my friend!

I would do the rum free version of this. Hope you don’t melt in the heat wave. For us, a heat wave is only when temperatures are above 40.
