Frozen Lavender Strawberry Daiquiri

Hello, folks! How are you doing? I hope you have had a great and productive week and are now ready for the weekend. Oh yeah, I am so, so ready (despite having had two additional days off).

And to celebrate this weekend, I decided to share with you another refreshing summer cocktail recipe. After all, there are only several weeks of summer left, and the weather is cooling down. So, let’s keep enjoying fresh cocktails until we all crave a pumpkin latte and other soul-warming drinks.

So, Frozen Lavender Strawberry Daiquiri, anyone?

What is Daiquiri?

A daiquiri is a cocktail made with rum, citrus juice (typically lime juice), and a sweetener such as simple syrup or agave syrup. These ingredients are combined with ice, shaken, and strained into a chilled glass. There are several variations, including the famous Hemingway daiquiri made with grapefruit juice and maraschino liquor, Mulata daiquiri with an addition of crème de cacao, and frozen daiquiris.

What is Frozen Daiquiri?

A frozen daiquiri is a twist on classic daiquiri, with the addition of blended ice for a thick, slushy-like texture. It’s a tart and refreshing variation often made with fresh or frozen fruit like strawberries, mango, or pineapple to add more flavor and a summery twist. Try this Blackberry Daiquiri.

Frozen Lavender Strawberry Daiquiri

This Frozen Lavender Strawberry Daiquiri is a tart, sweet, fruity, luscious, and creamy cocktail with a pop of sweet lavender. Although it’s not too sweet, this is a relatively light, dessert-like cocktail perfect for sipping after dinner.

It’s super easy to make it, too. Simply combine in a blender all ingredients and pulse until the mixture is smooth and has a slushy-like consistency. Taste and adjust for sweetness or tartness if needed and enjoy!

And of course, you can skip the ice to make a regular strawberry daiquiri.

Ingredients You’ll Need for Frozen Lavender Strawberry Daiquiri

To make this Frozen Lavender Strawberry Daiquiri, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Rum – the base spirit of this cocktail. Light or white rum is a common choice. Don’t use dark or spiced rum, as it will overpower a delicate fruity aroma.
  • Strawberries – add the natural sweetness and flavour. I used fresh strawberries, but frozen ones work well, too.
  • Lavender Simple Syrup – adds the sweetness and a pleasant floral aroma.
  • Fresh lime juice – adds freshness and balances out the sweetness. You can use lemon juice as well.
  • Ice, crushed – turns a regular daiquiri into a frozen one.
