Hey, folks!

If there’s one cocktail that instantly signals celebration without feeling heavy or complicated, it’s the mimosa. Simple to prepare yet undeniably elegant, this version adds a gentle layer of depth thanks to Cointreau, making it just a touch more refined while staying true to the classic. So, let’s dive into this Classic Mimosa Cocktail with Cointreau.

What Is a Mimosa?

A mimosa is a classic champagne cocktail traditionally made with equal parts sparkling wine and orange juice. Its origins are commonly traced back to France in the early 20th century, where it gained popularity as a light daytime cocktail served at hotels and cafés.

The name “mimosa” is believed to reference the mimosa flower, whose bright yellow colour resembles fresh orange juice mixed with sparkling wine. Over time, the mimosa became a brunch staple around the world, loved for its low alcohol content, refreshing flavour, and effortless elegance.

At its core, a mimosa relies on just two ingredients, but optional additions—such as orange liqueur—can elevate it from simple to celebratory.

Why You’ll Love This Classic Mimosa Cocktail

  • Effortlessly festive: Perfect for holidays, brunches, and special occasions.
