This Blueberry Lemon Lavender Milkshake combines juicy berries, freshness of lemon, and pleasant herbal notes of lavender. This drinkable dessert is only a few minutes to make, making it a perfect solution for summer heat!
Jump to RecipeHello folks! How are you doing? I hope you started this new week off right, and it has been treating you well. And I also hope the summer heat (if you live where it’s summer now, obviously) is manageable. Just please don’t rub it in my face, as we are having another unbearably humid day lol.
Anyway, I am going to keep it short and sweet today. Besides, who needs a long conversation, when a delicious and refreshing milkshake is involved, right?!
And yes, that’s right – I am sharing another recipe. Last summer I was having a kick with milkshake creations (as I have previously mentioned, this summer I am mostly sharing unpublished recipes and photos from last year…and a few from 2022!)
Blueberry Lemon Lavender Milkshake
This Blueberry Lemon Lavender Milkshake is perfectly luscious and refreshing. Fresh blueberries, vanilla ice cream, milk, lemon juice, and lavender syrup are combined in this summer concoction. Yes, this milkshake is quite sweet, yet the sweetness is balanced out by the addition of lemon juice.
As always, you can play around the ingredients to come up with something perfect for you! Wanna a more pronounced blueberry flavour? Why not use blueberry ice cream? Want something more refreshing? Lemon ice cream would be a good choice! Want less sweet milkshake? Swap the lavender syrup for a little of rubbed lavender buds then. Would you like a lighter consistency and fewer calories? You can use sorbet instead of ice cream; think lemon, blueberry or mixed berries. Fancy a boozy version? Add in some Limoncello!

minutesThis Blueberry Lemon Lavender Milkshake combines the juiciness of fresh berries, freshness of lemon, and pleasant herbal notes of lavender.
Ingredients
1 pint (about 400 gr. or 2 cups) vanilla ice cream
1/2 to 1 cup (120 to 240 ml.) milk (1%, 2% or even skimmed will work); the amount depends on the preferable consistency of the milkshake
1 cup to 1 and 1/2 cup (190 to 280 gr.) fresh blueberries
2-3 tbsp. (30-45 ml.) lavender syrup, or more, to taste OR ~1/2 tbsp. dried lavender buds
2 tbsp. (30 ml.) fresh lemon juice – or more, to taste
Directions
- Let the ice cream sit out at room temperature until starting to soften, 10 to 15 minutes, for easy blending. In the meantime, chill the glasses in the fridge or even freezer.
- Place in the cup of your blender the blueberries, milk (starting with 1/2 cup), lavender syrup (starting with 2 tbsp.), lemon juice, and soften ice cream. If using the lavender buds instead of the syrup, rub them between your fingers first to make it fine.
- Blend until the milkshake is smooth and pourable, about 40-60 seconds, adding the remaining milk if necessary. Try and add more of the lavender syrup or lemon juice, if necessary. Divide the milkshake between the chilled glasses and enjoy right away!
