Hello, folks! How are you doing? I hope you have had a great week and are now getting ready for the weekend. Well, that’s silly of me to say this. Of course, you are ready!

Also, can you believe it’s almost the mid of August? I cannot, really! Also, can you believe it’s almost the middle of August? I cannot, really! And to celebrate the remaining part of this summer, I suggest having another refreshing drink. This Raspberry Limoncello Gin Cocktail, to be precise.

Raspberry Limoncello Gin Cocktail

This Raspberry Limoncello Gin Cocktail is a perfect summer cocktail recipe, and it will not disappoint you.

  • It’s bright, fresh, and relatively light, but with some character.
  • It’s fruity and sweet, yet not overly sugary.
  • A complex flavour profile featuring two fruit liqueurs and gin.

Ingredients for This Raspberry Limoncello Gin Cocktail

To make this Raspberry Limoncello Gin Cocktail, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Gin â€“ any good quality and not super expensive gin will do. Personally, I prefer less juniper-forward gins, but you can go with whatever you like. Other hard liquors like vodka or rum will also work.
  • Raspberry liqueur â€“ adds the sweetness and a wonderful raspberry aroma.
  • Limoncello â€“ also works as both a modifier and sweetener. It also makes the flavour profile more complex, adding sweetness, tartness, and even a subtle bitterness.
  • Lemon juice – adds freshness and balances out the sweetness of Limoncello and raspberry liquor.
  • Fresh raspberries – a few berries, mashed, for an added flavour.
  • Ice Cubes â€“ for chilling and for serving (if serving on the rocks).
  • Fresh mint, raspberries, and lemon wedges – optional, for garnish.

Ways to Customize

As always, you can customize this recipe, too. Below are several suggestions:

  • Swap gin for another spirit like vodka or white rum; use alcohol that is more neutral in flavour.
  • Swap Limoncello for orange liqueur like Triple Sec or Cointreau.
  • Use either Limoncello or raspberry liqueur. Of course, the final result will be different, with a less complex flavour profile, but it will still be delicious.
  • Use other fruit liqueur instead of the raspberry one, e.g., Crème de cassis (blackcurrant) or Chambord (black raspberry)
