This Cardamom Iced Green Tea, combined with lemon juice and maple syrup (or honey), is a refreshing summer drink to help beat the summer heat. And you can absolutely skip the sweetener, too!

Hello, folks! I hope you are doing well, enjoying the summer.
Can you believe it’s already mid-July? I cannot, really.
And since the weather is getting super hot and at times even sultry, it’s a good time for something ultra refreshing! I’m talking about this iced green tea with cardamom and lemon.
Cardamom Iced Green Tea
This Iced Cardamom Green Tea is 100% perfect for the bill. It’s refreshing. It’s lemony. Additionally, it’s a bit sophisticated, thanks to the addition of cardamom. And it’s only subtly sweet, so it will better satisfy your thirst. It’s healthier than the sugar drinks you can get at a coffee shop. And if desired, you can skip the sweetener altogether.
Importantly, it is versatile, too. You can enjoy flavoured great teas – or add some extras. Think of mango, rose petals, orange zest, and so on.
Ingredients You’ll Need for Iced Cardamom Tea
You will only need a few simple ingredients to make this iced tea with cardamom, most of which you likely already have in your pantry.
- Water – I used regular, filtered water.
- Green tea of your choice. Both loose and tea bags will work. If you don’t like green tea, you can also opt for black or herbal tea.
- Cardamom – infuses the tea. Use whole cardamom pods for a more fragrant result.
- Lemons – add freshness and tartness. Use real lemons, not the concentrate, for the best results. Limes are a great option as well.
- Maple syrup – as a sweetener. You may use other sweeteners, such as honey, instead, or omit them completely.

First of all- insert my signature here- petition signed.
Second of all, you said “I was thinking…” and I could help but giggle and think to myself, “uh oh. Hope he doesn’t hurt himself!” Lol. (Insert sticking my tongue out at you here.)
Third, I love this green tea! Green tea ALWAYS makes me think of my dad. He used to drink a gallon of the stuff daily. He swore by it. Never have I thought of adding cardamom… because I’m blonde and clearly not as clever as you!! This sounds like a wonderful addition, Ben! I’m totally going to make this. And sit on my new deck, look up at the sky, and cheers my dad ♡ thanks for sharing this, my friend. I’m super excited over this one!!! ♡

Wait…you can’t ban the Fall. No way! That’s my favorite season of the year! Well, I do agree that Fall leads into Winter, and now that I live way up here in upstate New York, winter is not nearly as much fun anymore. Either way, I’m all about this iced cardamom tea…what a fun flavor combo! And I love adding maple syrup as the sweetener here. Thanks for the shout-out! I hope you guys are having an awesome weekend…long live Summer (and Fall)!
