Hello folks! How are you doing? I hope this week has been treating you well, and you are getting ready for the weekend. And importantly, this is going to be the extended weekend for many us!

Last year (and this season I’ve been mostly posting recipes I tried last year) I had a huge kick on making milkshakes. They are a lot of fun to make and enjoy, but I think they are often overlooked by food bloggers. No worries, I got your covered! :)
Earl Grey Lavender Milkshake
It would be an understatement to say that this Earl Grey Lavender Milkshake was delicious. In fact, I think it is the most delicious from those I have tried so far. It is sweet and with a lovely hint of lavender. And the best part is the tea which beautifully offsets the sweetness.

Ingredients
1 pint (about 400 gr. or 2Â cups)Â vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup (125 ml.) milk
2-3 Earl Grey tea bags + 1/2 cup (125 ml.) water
2-3 tbsp. (30-45 ml.) lavender syrup or ~1/2 tbsp. dried lavender buds
Directions
- Fist brew 1/2 cup of strong Earl Grey tea using 2-3 tea bags. While it is very concentrated, the flavour will be diluted when combined with milk and ice cream. Cool the tea completely for 20 minutes or so.
- In the meantime, let the ice cream sit out at room temperature until starting to soften, 10 to 15 minutes, for easy blending. Also, chill the glasses in the fridge or even freezer.
- Place in the cup of your blender the milk, tea, lavender syrup (start with 2 tbsp.), and soften ice cream. If using the lavender buds instead of the syrup, rub them between your fingers first to make it fine.
- Blend until the milkshake is smooth and pourable, about 40-60 seconds. Try and add more of the lavender syrup, if necessary. Divide the milkshake between the chilled glasses and enjoy right away!
Sorry — tea and I are not friends! But doing a bergamot flavor with lavender would be awesome!

I’ve never bern a huge fan of milkshakes, I’m guessing it’s because I grew up in a European household and we just never had them, of course we had ice cream and even sorbet but not milkshakes! Having said that, this os a flavour combination I would love to try.
