This simple Cranberry Orange Brandy Cocktail is made with only four ingredients – brandy, triple sec, cranberry juice, and orange juice. It has a lovely sweet and sour profile, being also warm and fresh at the same time. And all those flavours are so festive making this cocktail perfect for holiday season!
Hey folks – how are you doing? I hope this week has been treating you well so far! And yeah, this is the last week of November. Can you imagine that?
Before December I would like to share one recipe more (because I have SO MANY ideas to share with you. Plus a couple of unpublished from last year.) That is why I am going to keep it short and sweet this week. I am pretty sure you are not going to oppose :) So cheers to that!
Cranberry Orange Brandy Cocktail
This Cranberry Orange Brandy Cocktail is made with two types of spirits – brandy and triple sec. Cognac will also be a good option in place of brandy. And of course, you can use Cointreau or Grand Marnier in place of triple sec, if you have it.
Besides alcohol, there is an addition of cranberry juice and orange juice. Since store-bough orange juice is normally sweetened, you do not need to add any additional sweetener. If you have your hands on unsweetened cranberry juice, than you will need some sweetness. Think of a basic syrup or even honey. I suggest using freshly squeezed orange juice, though. If unavailable, store-bough would be fine, too.
And for an even more complex flavour profile, you can always add a few drops of bitters. Citrus-flavored bitters, or those containing herbs and spices (i.e., rosemary, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, etc.) would be great in this recipe!
