  • Quick and effortless: Made on store-bought naan flatbread and ready in under 20 minutes.
  • Elegant appetizer: Perfect for Christmas parties, cozy gatherings, or New Year’s Eve spreads.
  • Texture and contrast: Crispy edges, gooey brie, and crunchy almonds make each bite satisfying.

Ingredients You’ll Need for This Recipe

To make this cranberry brie prosciutto flatbread, you’ll need a few simple ingredients that balance beautifully between festive and easy:

  • Naan flatbread: Store-bought naan keeps things quick and reliable. It bakes up crisp on the edges yet stays soft inside.
  • Soft cheese: A thin layer of cream cheese or goat cheese creates a creamy base that enhances the flavour and keeps the naan moist.
  • Cranberry sauce: Use homemade cranberry sauce if possible – sweet, tart, and vibrant, it forms the heart of the topping. You can even use a boozy version like Festive Cranberry Sauce with Orange Liqueur or Festive Cranberry Orange Sauce with Brandy.
  • Brie cheese: Soft, buttery, and rich; melts beautifully and pairs perfectly with cranberry.
  • Prosciutto: Brings a salty, savoury contrast. Brush lightly with olive oil after baking for a glossy finish.
  • Rosemary: Adds fragrance and a fresh herbal note that ties everything together.
  • Almonds: Bring subtle crunch and a nutty accent.
  • Fresh cranberries: Scatter a few over the top before baking for colour contrast and a touch of tartness.
  • Olive oil (optional): Brush the naan edges before baking for crispness and golden colour, and again after baking for shine.

Possible Additions and Variations

  • Swap the nuts: Use pecans, walnuts, or even pistachios for a rustic or colourful twist.
  • Experiment with cheese: Substitute brie with camembert, Havarti, or blue cheese for a bolder flavour. You can also use ricotta, goat cheese, or mascarpone for a creamier base.
  • Play with herbs: Swap rosemary for thyme or sage to shift the aromatic profile.
  • Make it vegetarian: Skip the prosciutto and add caramelized onions or extra cheese instead.
  • Make it festive: Sprinkle pomegranate seeds or orange zest on top after baking for a bright, elegant finish.

Ingredients

  • 2 Naan flatbreads or similar

  • 2-3 tbsp. (30-45 g) soft goat cheese or cream cheese

  • about 1/3 cup (85 g) cranberry sauce or jam, preferably homemade and not overly sweet

  • about 150 g Brie cheese, sliced or cubed

  • 4–5 slices prosciutto (about 75 g), torn into smaller pieces

  • 2 tbsp. (20 g) almonds, roughly chopped

  • 1 tsp. minced rosemary

  • few fresh cranberries, optional for contrast and tartness

  • extra virgin olive oil, for brushing naan edges and prosciutto after baking (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the naan breads on it.
  • Evenly spread a thin layer of soft cheese (cream cheese or goat cheese) over each naan. Spoon and gently spread cranberry sauce on top of the soft cheese layer. Arrange slices of brie, pieces of prosciutto, and a few fresh cranberries (if using) over the surface. Sprinkle with rosemary leaves and chopped almonds.
  • If desired, brush the edges with a little olive oil. Bake for about 8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, the prosciutto turns slightly crisp, and the naan edges are golden.
  • Remove from the oven and brush the prosciutto lightly with olive oil for shine, if desired. Slice and enjoy immediately.
