This Blueberry Lavender Oatmeal combines succulent blueberries with refreshing lemon and a pleasant floral hint. Add some shaved white chocolate for an ultimately luscious dessert type of oatmeal!

Hello friends – have are you doing? I hope you had a nice, restful weekend, and you are now ready to embrace another week! And to start your week off right, it is important to have a good breakfast. By the way, are you a sweet or savoury breakfast person?
Normally, I am not a huge fan of sweet carb dense items like pancakes or crepes for breakfast. Of course, I add a banana, little of jam or a drizzle of maple syrup to my traditional morning cottage cheese or oatmeal, but they are not as sweet, as this recipe. Weekends, on the other hand, are different. And sometimes I crave for something extra sweet with my morning coffee. (On a side note, after something sweet, I often crave something salty and savoury…oh my taste buds – go figure them! lol)
Blueberry Lavender Oatmeal
If you love to enjoy something extra sweet, you will like this Blueberry Lavender Oatmeal then!
As always, oatmeal and fresh blueberries offer you many healthy benefits. It is nutritious and filling, as oats are long-chain carbs and both oats and blueberries are high in fiber. This means that you will stay satisfied for a while.
On the other hand, lavender, lemon, and white chocolate elevates this oatmeal to a different, almost dessert-like level. A dessert for breakfast that still offers you healthy benefits? I am in!
In fact, you can skip white chocolate, if you prefer. This oatmeal is quite sweet thanks to the addition of blueberries. The main purpose of white chocolate, besides to make this oatmeal sumptuous, is to offset the lavender. Instead of white chocolate, you can totally use some honey or maple syrup.

Thank you Davorka!
I usually eat a simple breakfast during the week, too, but the weekend is a chance to cheat a little bit. Oatmeal season is approaching quickly, and this version sounds wonderful, Ben. It’s a great cross between late summer with the blueberries and lavender and fall with the oatmeal!
Thank you David!
I usually add butter and honey but will try white chocolate next time. Oats is a regular breakfast on a Sunday for us.
Thank you Tandy!
This looks beautiful Ben. I love floral flavours in food (try saying that when drunk) and i don’t mind a bit of white choc and blueberries. Delightful!
