Hello folks – have are you doing? Has this week been treating you well? Can you believe it is December already? (Shocking!) Even more, can you imagine that Christmas is just in three weeks. Crazy, right?

And yeah, it’s almost the weekend – we did it. And to celebrate this, I have to offer something ultra delicious to you – this Cranberry Orange Amaretto Cocktail. Cheers to that!

Cranberry Orange Amaretto Cocktail

Cranberry Orange Amaretto Cocktail is ridiculously simple to make. But its flavour is nothing short of amazing. It is fresh and fruity but at the same time complex thanks to subtle nutty notes. To make it, you will need Amaretto, Triple Sec (Cointreau or other similar spirit), and cranberry juice. Since store-bought cranberry juice is normally sweetened, this recipe does not require any additional sweeteners. If you use unsweetened juice, you may need to additionally sweeten it (i.e., honey, simple syrup, etc.)

You can make the flavour even more sophisticated by adding a few drops of bitters. I think citrus-flavored bitters, or those containing herbs and spices (i.e., rosemary, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, etc.) would be great in this recipe!

Ingredients

• 2 oz. Amaretto

• 2 oz. Triple Sec, Cointreau or other orange liqueur

• 1 oz. cranberry juice

• a handful of ice

• fresh cranberries, orange, rosemary, etc. – optional, for garnish

Directions

• Combine the Amaretto, orange liquor, cranberry juice, and ice. Shake for 30 seconds to blend, try, and adjust the taste (i.e., an additional splash of liquor or juice), if necessary. Filter and discard the ice. Enjoy!
