Third Parties and Advertising

Havoc in the Kitchen uses Google AdSense for monetization.

Any advertisement served by the advertising services and affiliated companies may be controlled using cookies. These cookies allow third parties to display ads based on your visits to this site and other sites.

The list of current platforms and their Privacy Policies includes:

TraceMyIP

The Havoc in the Kitchen uses TraceMyIP (tracemyip.org). This software helps web publishers analyze their website usability, maintain security, understand visitor behavior, and manage suspicious activity. The website collects the following information:

  • Visitor IP address. How TraceMyIP analyzes IPs depends on the user’s configuration. If a website is subject to GDPR regulations, the IP format will hide the ending bits. Even when visible to the website owner, an IP address does not reveal a visitor’s identity. It allows webmasters to view anonymous visitor activity and provides added security by enabling the analysis of backend abuse.
  • Date and time. Each website page load is logged and assigned a date and time for later analysis if required.
  • Browser and OS brand and version. Each page load has this information. This helps understand website compatibility and improve usability for the most used systems and browsers.
  • Landing and referring page data. Referrer information shows which sources bring traffic. Landing page data shows which pages are most popular or linked from external sources.
  • Visitor recurrence. TraceMyIP places a functional cookie in visitors’ browsers to track new visitors, repeat visitors, and unique visits. The cookies are also used to identify repeat visits, but these do not identify an actual person; instead, they generate machine-level statistics.
  • Search engines. When the website is visited, referrer information indicates a search engine referral, identifies the search engine, and, if possible, the keywords used in the search.
  • Advertising campaign data. If the website utilizes online advertising tools, TraceMyIP can capture some of the advertising information for statistical analysis.
  • Geographic visitor location data. Each IP has an approximate geographic location. TraceMyIP retrieves this information to display an approximate location of the connecting network. Website owners may use this data to tailor services for specific regions or assess their online presence. This GEO data cannot identify the exact visitor location.
  • More service functions and legal information can be obtained by accessing TraceMyIP’s privacy policy at https://www.tracemyip.org/privacy.htm and terms of service at https://www.tracemyip.org/tos.htm

TraceMyIP Data Retention

Havoc in the Kitchen uses a plan that allows it to keep and retain all collected data for no longer than 5 days (or 4000 page loads), which means that when the limit is reached, the oldest metadata in the log will start being overwritten by new data.
