Hey, folks — today I’m sharing one of those effortlessly elegant recipes that feels fancy but takes almost no time at all. Sweet peach jam and fragrant lavender transform simple goat cheese into something beautifully balanced and subtly floral. So, let’s dive into this Lavender Goat Cheese Spread.

Why You’ll Love This Lavender Goat Cheese Spread

  • Quick: Ready in under 10 minutes with minimal prep.
  • Elegant: Floral lavender and peach create a refined flavour pairing.
  • Balanced: Tangy goat cheese, sweet honey, and fruity jam complement each other perfectly.
  • Versatile: Works as a dessert spread, appetizer, or cheese board addition.
  • Naturally textured: Soft and rustic rather than overly whipped.

Flavour and Texture Profile

This spread is soft, creamy, and slightly rustic rather than airy or whipped. Goat cheese brings a pleasant tang, while honey softens its sharpness. Lavender adds a delicate botanical aroma — subtle, not perfumy. Peach jam introduces fruity sweetness and a gentle brightness that rounds everything out beautifully.

Ingredients You’ll Need for This Recipe

To make this Lavender Goat Cheese Spread, you’ll only need a few simple ingredients that each play an important role:

  • Plain goat’s cheese: The creamy, tangy base of the spread. Choose a fresh, soft variety for best results.
  • Honey: Adds natural sweetness and smooths out the sharpness of the cheese.
  • Peach jam: Brings fruity depth and soft sweetness. It also adds subtle colour and texture.
  • Fresh lavender blooms (or dried buds): Provide a gentle floral aroma. Use sparingly — lavender should enhance, not overpower.

  1. Ben, I love this flavor combination – I especially love the addition of the peach jam – I always have peach or apricot jam on hand, and this spread sounds absolutely perfect for dessert or snack, or even spread on toast for breakfast!

  2. You know, I think the addition of peaches here really added a fun twist! We have goat cheese and peaches in the fridge right now…so I’m well on my way to this recipe! It sounds like a delightful appetizer idea along with a glass of wine!

  3. Can I have some for my bread? The combination of goat cheese and lavender sounds and looks heavenly, Ben. And I am totally with Raymund that you surely know how to make the most of edible flowers.
