This luscious and fresh Whiskey Blackberry Rosemary Cocktail is a terrific way to make the Halloween celebration even more fun!
Jump to RecipeHello everyone. I hope you are doing well, and you are ready for Halloween fun (If you celebrate.) Also, l hope you did not eat (yet) all the candy you bought for kids. I mean the quality control is essential – you must verify the treats are fresh and delicious. And for the best result, you will probably need to sample at least 1/2 content of each package. Just in case you’ve been very meticulous checking out the quality, don’t forget to buy some extra candy :) Last year, we needed to buy the candy 3 times. Our quality control team (Andrew and I) worked extremely well.
Anyway, we did it! We all did it. I posted seven Halloween-themed recipes. That’s huge (Considering the fact, I posted only two recipes before. For 6 years of my blog running.) You also did particularly well by reading all these posts.
Now, we can relax and sip this delightful Whiskey Blackberry Rosemary Cocktail.

Whiskey Blackberry Rosemary Cocktail
I started my Halloween season with a cocktail (Black Licorice Cocktail), and I am wrapping it up with a cocktail, too. But if that first cocktail was not for everyone because of licorice, most of you will like this Whiskey Blackberry Rosemary Cocktail. No strange components whatsoever. It’s quite strong variation, too. Personally I love lighter cocktails, so I diluted my version with some extra orange juice. But you can definitely adjust the ratio to your preferences by making it even lighter or stronger. Also, bourbon and rum would be good substitutions, too.
So make this tasty cocktail, lit your candles, and burn some rosemary (Which will smell fantastic!)… excellent protection from anything evil :) (P.S. It does not work on Daisy, I’ve checked LOL)
I hope you like this cocktail idea, , and you will give this idea a try. If you make it, let me know in this post or send me an Instagram message or share you photos adding the hashtag #havocinthekitchen.
Whiskey Blackberry Rosemary Cocktail
Course: Drinks2

minutesThis luscious and fresh Whiskey Blackberry Rosemary Cocktail is a terrific way to make the Halloween celebration even more fun!
Ingredients
1 oz. whiskey (bourbon or rum would work)
1 oz. orange liquor
5-8 blackberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 to 1 oz. orange juice (optional, for lighter version)
1 small rosemary sprig
Extra blackberries and rosemary, for serving
Directions
- Mash the blackberries and the rosemary with a pestle, just 5 seconds to release the rosemary flavour (Do not mash the rosemary too enthusiastically. We just need a little of its essential oil. Otherwise, your cocktail might turn turn withy too strong, perfume, aroma.) Discard the rosemary.
- For the cocktail, combine the whiskey, orange liquor, mashed blackberries (with juices), and orange juice (if using). If desired, add some ice. Shake for 10 seconds to blend, try, and add more licorice base if desired. Enjoy!

I can see how whiskey and blackberry would go together so well. I had not thought of adding in a sprig of rosemary though! Nice touch for Halloween Ben, hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks Neil!
Burning rosemary? I’ve never tried that before, but I bet it would smell fantastic! I need to try that sometime. I also need to try this cocktail – you had me at whiskey! Given that it’s Monday morning right now, I might need to wait a couple days until it’s more socially acceptable to have a drink. Haha! Thanks for the inspiration, Ben!

I will make this for a friend the next time she visits but first I’m going to buy Glenmorangie’s new whisky that’s made for mixing. It has hints of orange in it which will compliment this recipe perfectly.
Sounds great, thanks Tandy!
