Jump to RecipeHey folks – how are you doing? Did you have a nice weekend and now ready for new week? (Well, personally, I am not sure about new week, but I am already ready for next weekend! Just four days, just four days… lol).
Yup, it’s going to be a long, long week. And even worse – we are expecting our first heat wave this week! Grrr, I disagree!
So, I am going to keep it sweet and short today. Besides, who needs many words when a delightful cocktail is involved, right?
The photographs for this recipe, by the way, were taken back in 2022. Yes, while I am currently using my archives of unpublished photos from last summer, there are still a few folders from 2022. When will you any new (which I am working on this season) recipes appear on Havoc in the Kitchen? Next year, obviously! :)
What is Silver Fizz?
Most likely you have heard of a fizz cocktail. But in fact, there is the whole fizz family of different cocktails!
Generally fizz cocktails are similar to sours, and typically they include gin or rum as its alcoholic part. A gin fizz contains gin (shocking, right?!), lemon juice, sugar, and often soda or sparkling water.
Variations include egg yolk (Golden Fizz), whole egg (Royal Fizz), and egg white (Silver Fizz).
Lavender Gin Silver Fizz
So, as we just have established, this Lavender Gin Silver Fizz contains egg whites.
To make this cocktail, you will need to combine gin, lavender syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and egg white. Dry shake then add ice and shake until chilled. Strain and enjoy! Also, here I used Canadian Empress 1908 gin for an added twist (and apparently, colour). But you can use any other gin of your choice.
If you have any concerns about using raw egg white, you should make a regular fizz omitting the egg white.

I didn’t know about the three egg variations in fizzes! The only one I knew about was the silver one. I once had a cocktail made with Empress gin, and really loved it, so I’m very curious to try one with that and lavender. What a gorgeous color!
Thank you Jeff!
