There are some foods you don’t particularly notice being a child or teen, but then, almost all at once, start to be obsessed with. My next food story is about gorgeous rhubarb, friends!

Being a child, we had a lot of rhubarb my parents used to grow in our summer cottage. I guess they might haven’t cultivated it – once planted rhubarb doesn’t need you attention. It just gradually conquers and annexes the surrounded territories. I could have enjoyed it during summer time if I had had any developed palate, but I just took it for granted. Perhaps it was the way too tart for a kid. My mom would make some kind of rhubarb drink and pies, and that were basically the only two things.  I don’t know what happened, but then for a number of years it disappeared from that garden and quite soon we wouldn’t have that cottage as well.

Such a poignant, poignant, situation my friends!

I’ve been blogging for an inconsiderable amount of time only, but I have already been associated with a donut factory. Indeed, that started on Instagram about two months ago. I don’t want the reputation of unstoppable cake-donut maker!

I am just kidding though. I am totally fine with this reputation and those jokes I am getting. There is nothing wrong to be connected with the particular food. Indeed, it’s kind of cool too since that does mean you are good at doing something. Plus, it’s just a time frame and, hence, I will be having another outstanding feature, sooner or later. What about deep-fried donuts, folks? :)

I have just figured out a new sign.

The formula is simple: once you feel the end of the blood oranges season, you are getting more and more panicky. It is such a peculiar feeling I cannot even properly describe. It is not about being panic indeed. It is more about being anxious because you have not worked with blood oranges that often yet. In other words, you are not sick and tired of using them yet, but they are about to disappear. It’s a very disappointing fact, isn’t it?
