It’s official, my friends.
Nope, I’m not talking about my new addiction or kick!
Fall, my friends. Fall has finally arrived!
Indeed, if you have read some of my summer posts, you might anticipate me to be upset about that. But indeed I’m kind of pumped. Sure, in fall my mood is often up and down, and I could be quite melancholic. You know, weather changing, rains, chilly mornings, daylight decreasing, age…
But on the other hand, I love fall. Basically, early fall which lasts quite long in Ontario. If nothing drastic happens, lovely weather should be here up to the end of October.
Besides, I love fall produce! Pumpkins, apples, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, brussels sprouts, and many good things – oh, boy, I’m so excited!
Very soon you won’t recognize havocinthekitchen! Friends, you’re about to see stuffed vegetables, pasta, sweet and savory baking, and other comfort food. Believe it or not, but you will see also some meat dishes, sure with the fall twists! And all these fall flavors and spices. Hello, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg wich would be perfectly paired with apples and pumpkins!
Bye-buy, ice cream and lavender!
Are you okay?
Because while saying that, you should have fallen off you chairs. Have you? Good!
You’re so credulous, my friends!
Could you ever imagine me not using lavender? And not making (and primarily eating) ice cream?
No way! Plus, I’ve just got some unpublished lavender and ice cream recipes.
By the way, talking about ice cream and lavender, I’ve got something absolutely scrumptious and luscious for you. This Blueberry Lavender Coconut Ice Cream is such a delicious dessert. Blueberries and lavender make the perfect friendship. Besides, coconut milk introduces nice and delicate flavor in the background.
And this color, my friends, look at this vibrant color!
I think this Blueberry Lavender Coconut Ice Cream is a great way to say farewell to summer!
And what about you, folks? Are you excited to greet this fall and fall produce? What’s you favorite fall food and produce? And finally, do you think I would be able to combine lavender with pumpkins?:)
Blueberry Lavender Coconut Ice Cream
Notes

Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1/2 tablespoons dry lavender or to taste
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and nice (since ground lavender would have a stronger flavor, you can put less and add more later on, if desired).
- Place the mixture in a cylinder of an ice cream maker and freeze as recommended in the manual, for about 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer to a plastic container and place in the fridge for a few hours or serve at once (would be very soft).
- Enjoy!
This looks amazing, I love lavender! Try slow roasting pumpkin chunks in the oven. Brush lightly with honey (lavender honey if you have some!) and sprinkle over the lavender flowers. Needs about 30-45 minutes in low temp oven. That’s it!
Yes, please! What a treat to be eating that kind of ice-cream on a lovely summer day. Looks pretty and delicious. :-)
This sounds like a great ice cream combo and the color is just gorgeous! I’m with you on the excitement for Fall- bring on the fall produce and spices!!

And it is a great combo! Thanks Maya!
Hi. Will this keep in thw freezer overnight then taken out half hr before serving?
Hi. Yes, absolutely. You can easily keep in the fridge for up to a week or so. You might need to take it out just 10-15 minutes prior to serving.
Ha! Your funny Ben! I will be okay without blueberries and lavender, the real question is – will YOU?! ;) This ice cream looks terrif! I’m a huge fan of blueberry ice cream, but the addition of lavender sounds delish! Cheers to a beautiful weekend, my friend! <3

So will I, Chey! Okay, maybe not without lavender, but I’m easily ditch out blueberries:) Thanks a lot!
That’s a silly question…of course if anyone can successfully combine lavender with pumpkin – it is you! So, yes, I’ll be missing all your shades of purple and splendid ice creams but I’ll happily make way for your autumn offerings! This ice cream sounds divine, by the way!
